Taobao
Owned by Alibaba, Taobao is very similar to eBay, where everyone can buy and sell stuffs. It is the most popular shopping site in China. Although it is aimed toward Chinese customers, slowly more and more people outside China is using this site.
TMALL
Just like Taobao, Tmall also owned by Alibaba, and is super popular in China. The key difference is that not everyone can sell on Tmall, only brands can open a shop on Tmall, such as Nike, Chanel, so people will not get fake product, which might happen with Taobao.
Sina Weibo
Developed by Sina Corporation, it is the one of the most popular social media in China. The platform is designed to be the Chinese version of Twitter, since is is blocked by the Great Fire Wall of China. Because of its popularity, Sina Weibo is monitored heavily by Chinese government to filter out any unwanted post.
Niconico
Launched in 2006, Niconico is a video sharing platform aiming toward Otaku community. They created danmaku, a new way to common on a video. Danmaku ables the audiences to interact with eachother and the creator of the video by showing their common on the video, usually fly from the right to the left at the exact time of the video as they post the common. Danmaku also offers a function for people with the ability to code to post special "common," such as special effect, picture to even mini games.
Bilibili
Launched in 2009 under the name mikufans, and changed its name to Bilibili in 20, it was a video sharing platform amined at Chinese Otaku audiences, and it was the second website in China to offer the Danmaku function. As the the website become more and more popular, different type of videos are upload, and makes it more like Chinese YouTube.
